A wooden automaton. The lovebirds and the mechanism are made from American cherry wood. Brass and delrin parts all made in my workshop. The base and perch are ash wood. All parts are finished with acrylic lacquers. I remember that we had a pair of Fischer’s lovebirds when I was a child in the late 60’s. This pair are almost as cute but come without the feeding and the mess.
